"I've always felt that the salon industry as a whole needed growth, and that the lives involved in it to matter more than making money. I opened The Lotus Room in 2013 with those hopes, and joined Destroy the Hairdresser coaching in 2019, after realizing I couldn't make that vision come true alone. I’ve spent valuable time invested in refining my craft. Haircutting and styling that fit your needs are my specialty, as well as practical hair color. I only believe in hair that makes you feel like you, the way you want to feel. I also believe in nurturing and encouraging my staff to grow to their highest potential - even if it means they outgrow my space. The world needs more understanding, more empathy..and as a hairdresser, and as a leader, I know we can play a major role. I’m obsessed with personal growth, healing, and astrology. My guilty pleasures are pizza and anything salted caramel, and being a human boy and furry boy mom mean the world to me!"

Kait is an Aries from South Florida. She joined the team in May'22 while she was finishing up hair school. She is licensed as of July'22  and she plans to embrace textured, natural hair to make people feel more like themselves. She loves everything curls! While she is new behind the chair, Kait is eager to learn everything there is to know about hair. She also plans to focus on blonding, vivids, extensions and layered cuts. She will also be offering color retouches, treatments, and blowouts. When she’s not in the salon, you’d find her making jewelry and resin art, or helping her family with their business of outdoor kitchen and bars!

Jessica:
Jess just moved to Palm City from NYC for a fresh new start! Her love and passion for hair
started at a very young age. Jessica has been working in salons since she was 14 and fell in
love with the industry ever since. Over the course of her career, Jess has taken many different
classes continuing her education and expertise. One of Jessica’s favorite
experiences was when she decided to travel to the UK and study at London
School of Barbering. This is where she fell in love with the art of barbering. Jess specializes in
wedding hair, styling, cutting and barbering.  In her spare time you can find her
volunteering at a cat sanctuary, at the beach soaking up the sun, or watching Rupaul’s Drag
Race! She makes a wonderful addition to this amazing team and we can’t wait
for her future at The Lotus Room!

Making others feel incredible on the outside and the inside is her passion and biggest motivation. Michele started playing with makeup art as a young girl and it has taken her on set at photo shoots and backstage on runways. Her career in beauty began at a very young age and has been full of sweet synchronicities, always leading her back to her passion & purpose. Having her first baby was the nudge she needed to finally get her cosmetology license.  After living in California for 8 years and traveling abroad throughout the past 10, she felt it was time to plant roots back in her hometown of Stuart, FL.  Mindful meditation is another facet of her life that’s truly changed her & has her determined to tap into her essence, and fully live with an open heart. The ocean is Michele’s happy place. She’s a die-hard music lover, especially old school hip hop, and when she’s on her down time you can find her adventuring with her family, dancing, and cooking.

Michele is still considered new behind the chair, but has assisted many talented, experienced stylists before coming to The Lotus Room to find more independence. Bright, colorful vivids excite her the most behind the chair, as well as blonding. She’s currently diving into haircuts with deeper education in learning the dynamic between shear and fingers.

Since Brian was a little kid, he admired hair stylists. He first bleached and colored his hair blue at the age of 13 and a love affair began. From then on, he did anything and everything he could with his hair. At the age of 21, he enrolled into cosmetology school.He invested quite a bit of time learning behind the chair and as an assistant. In 2017, he decided to take a break from it altogether but it wasn’t long.After spending a bit of time back behind the chair, Brian joined The Lotus Room team in December '22, with goals of growing in to a cutting specialist and taking control of his career. He feels strongly towards collaborating with his guests on their DIY hair, enjoys blow drying hair, and absolutely loves to take on vivid haircolor projects. He is passionate about community outreach and has volunteered at places like LAHIA here in Stuart, FL. When he's not working in a salon, you can find him working in a french bakery, named Sucré, and planning travel or visiting an art museum!  

Tanisha has been a loctress for over 6 years. She specializes in a crochet method that is self developed, as well as lifestyle guidance and journey facilitation.
An ouch-less and non breaking technique, paired well with self explored guidance and hair science! Services include dreadlock maintenance and repair, custom dreadlock extensions, deep cleaning and start up. She can't wait to join your journey!
